Shakespeare
I've finished reading my first Shakespearean play that wasn't forced upon me (well, not this time), and I'm happy to say that I'm happy! Good stuff. Now about these "star-cross'd lovers"...

No, don't read "R&J" next! Read "Julius Caesar" or "Taming of the Shrew" or "King Lear" or "Macbeth" one of the "Henry" plays!
Or read what you like.
"Romeo and Juliet" is considerably overrated. Shoot for Macbeth.
Are you both telling me that R&J is a bad tale? It seems quite popular.
No, it's a fine play, and it's Shakespeare, so there is brilliant stuff in it. But it's by no means one of his best plays.
Methinks it suits my purposes well, but I certainly don't intend to stop with the death of two youngins!
Midsummer Night's Dream or Taming of the Shrew. But always remember that the plays were meant to be performed, not read.
Martin,
I'll keep that in mind. Honestly, I've often acted out my own scenes; it helps.
